Take a taxi to "izon" for easy access
It can be difficult to remember the names of places and streets in Kyoto.
It is extremely difficult to instantly memorize the street names that run like a grid when traveling.
If you're having trouble finding lunch in Kyoto, just remember the words "Marutamachi Gokomachi" and you'll arrive at Restaurant Izon, located south of the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

If you get in a taxi and say "Marutamachi/Gokomachi", they will drop you off here.
Beyond the trees is the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

In Kyoto, the point where two streets intersect is often called the place name.
It's easy to understand for taxi drivers, so you can feel at ease.

Don't get lost at the intersection
If you go down about 20m south from the previous intersection you will find Izon.
Even if you don't know which way is north, south, east or west, just walk a little with the Kyoto Imperial Palace at your back.
